Wouldn't it be nice if you could give and save and spend all at once? With Ebates and Igive, you can do at least two at once.
I recently discovered ebates.com, which reminded me of Igive, which my dad has long used to support the Guam Communications Network.
At Igive.com, all you have to do is sign up and log in. Then click through to the store of your choice. A percentage (up to 26%, according to the site) of your purchase goes to the organization you designate.
If your organization isn't listed, it can easily be added. Everything from schools, churches, and social work organizations to fraternities and sororities are listed.
You can also check out ebates.com. Ebates works a lot like igive.com only a lot less altruistically. Again, membership is free, and all you do is log in, click through to the online store of your choice, and shop away. Different stores give different rebates; they range from 2-6% or a set dollar amount.
If you're going to shop online anyway, you might as well do it through Ebates or Igive.
